Mindfulness Trail

The Mindfulness Trail takes place in the magical Sunshine Coast Hinterland, approximately 1-hour drive west of Noosa in Conondale National Park. It’s a beautiful 35,500-hectare park filled with creek crossing, 4x4 tracks, rainforests, crystal clear creeks, stunning waterfalls and spectacular scenery. This diverse rainforest is home to an enormous array of wildlife, which includes more than 120 species of birds and a significant number of rare and threatened plants and wildlife.

Intuitively we all know that nature has a positive effect on our well-being and there is now an overwhelming amount of evidence proving this. Research has found that persons living in an urban area are 20% more prone to anxiety disorders and 40% more likely to be affected by mood disorders such as depression. Other research also found that spending time in an outdoor environment increased brain development through neuroendocrine structure and functioning. The immune system is also greatly benefited by being in nature as it is shown to put the body into rest and digest mode, relaxing the parasympathetic system, which in turn strengthens the immune system.  

This Mindfulness Trail is designed for an individual to relieve stress, improve well-being and mental health, recognize strengths and acknowledge ways he/she can contribute toward the greater community. Throughout the day you will learn and experience insightful mindfulness techniques to bring awareness to the present moment which helps to alleviate stress and anxiety. The trail concludes with some leisure time and self-enquiry activities around a campfire before heading back to Noosa.

Trent leads a holistic yoga class that blends both Yoga and Traditional Chinese Medicine philosophy, reflecting seasonal changes, meridian lines and emotions.

We are part of nature and just as nature changes, our practice needs to adapt to the season to promote health on every level.

These holistic clases aim at cultivating an awareness to be one with the energies of the season to support individual organs and systems and to encourage physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.
